Most recently a Vice President at ORC International, Laurie Gelb was previously Regional Director, Market Research & Planning at WellPoint, Inc., where she integrated survey research with claims data and medical charts at the plan, physician and patient levels. Her current practice focuses on the creation of evidence-based strategy and content across operations and marketing.
Laurie has pioneered the use of decision-centered rather than attribute-driven research methods to elicit and leverage choice drivers, and from there developed evidence-based traditional and digital content. Her publications and presentations generally focus on the triangulation of disease management, CDH, market research and e-health. Her clients have included several top tier health systems and most major biopharmaceutical manufacturers. Laurie spent several years in research administration at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, with additional big pharma (Sanofi-Aventis), community hospital and biotech experience. She received her Master’s in Public Health from the University of Texas.
