My wife has been to the hospital 3 times, son once and myself once. I have been washing my hands as much as possible and also on many medications. The most relief fro the head aches and sinus runs as I call them was from my allergy spray called Flonase over the counter. I read up on it at "kiwi drug" which really has helped me sleep and Im hoping to feel better soon

Dan Ross comments on Comparing HDHP, HMO and PPO Value based on Employer Benefit Survey Data

Health care cost is driven by chronic diease, CDC says 75% and Robert Wood Johnson Founddation says 78%. MCOs flip members each 18 months so they have no business interest in overall health/wellness. Using their data for benchmarking benefit design value is tantamount to asking wolves about the value of paper fencing for lamb protection. What's the difference in $750 deductibles concerning treatment of stage 3 breast cancer or kidney transplants? These disease conditions are driving trend, not PC doc visits for flu.

peter comments on H1N1 Flu: Key Info, Web Resources and News Headlines

AnyWare Group is the leading provider of remote access healthcare portal for hospitals and healthcare organizations. Unfortunately, as with all other things in life these are going up also. The pharma industry has a business model that unfortunately needs significant changes to remain viable. As with all economics, the buyer and seller both need satisfaction for a continued relationship. With today’s pricing for new drugs, the relationship between buyer and seller is troubled. Although pharma may attempt to justify the prices, there remains a fundamental change that needs to take place or the market will move to seek value by other means. The confidence in pharma has been degraded with multiple instances of indiscretions from studies to pricing scandals continue. Trust being lost is a serious issue to be regained by pharma. Factually, the utilization of step edits, tier structures, co-pay levels and exclusionary formularies would not have to exist if it were not for the irrational pricing shown by many pharma manufactures. Managed care would not have developed if the model of healthcare did not take on a demand crushing pricing stand several years ago. The rule of unintended consequences remains as does cause and effect.
